Bilby and baby, shy daytime hiders.
There is so much colour in this artwork. The yellows and greens of the spinifex grass in the moonlight, the purples in the dark sky. This painting is one of the artworks I created for children’s book “Snuggled Away” written by Cate Storey.
It’s quite a dramatic scene, but with a soft feel too. The bilby is such a gentle creature and I hope to have conveyed the cautiousness of the bilby beginning it’s night-time meanderings with the harshness of the environment.
