Siblings are staying close to their Mama in this sweet bandicoot family. Although it is night time, I chose to lighten the ground to give contrast and emphasis to the bandicoots on the paper as they scurry across the grass.

This painting is one of the artworks I created for children’s book “Snuggled Away” written by Cate Storey. There is a mix of very loose brush strokes in the foliage and more detailed work on the faces of the bandicoots.
